"At a public meeting on Sunday 5 June (1932) the petition (against the death sentence), now holding over 4,000 signatures, was enlarged by another 500...The Government saw no grounds for a reprieve, and it was confirmed that Snowy Rowles would die at 8 am on 13 June, 1932."
